Taiwan Trip (Taiwan) Day 7

Since we have to stay in Taipei for another 6 days, we had a last minute planning of our itinerary for today! I felt that we were fortunate enough, extra days spent in Taipei enable us to explore more and experienced how Taiwanese live under Typhoon. 

First stop: Taipei 101

Our original itinerary has this, but not very convenient to the places we were going so we cancelled it. Lucky or not, we were able to explore there then! 

We were rather lazy to gps the way to the location, so we just walked our way through since we got A LOT OF TIME. We came across this shopping mall, super atas~ so its just window shopping~ 

Stopped to enjoy the performance of this.

After walking and walking~~~ Finally we saw Taipei 101 tower from far!!! Being a 100% tourist, we started to take selfie with it like 3 idiots in the street. LOL. 

 The sky suddenly turned gloomy~~

Went to Macdonalds to chill. Back then, McFlurry (冰炫風) was having promotion, but we had no idea what the hell is that till we googled it. LOL. (sibei fail). 

Next stop, we went to Tong Hua Night Market / Linjiang Night Market for food since its rather nearby. But, nothing much there actually except few shops that sells seafood, small finger food and games store. 

This is nice~ Can try and long queue too. 

Coffin bread (curry flavour). Not nice. 

Bought these eggtarts (original, chocolate and matcha flavour) for tomorrow breakfast. ITS NICE. 

While strolling back, we saw the night view of Taipei 101 tower, and its dam beautiful! So we decided to selfie again like a typical tourist. Look at the hilarious photos! 

Had so much fun with it. Thanks to both of them! :)

Train back to ximending and that's what we saw. "Yield" 

Last stop: Ximending

Since ximending is so big, we were exploring it for days~ & searching for our dinner and we came across this famous wang zi cheese potato shop. Long queue but it's FREAKING nice. If you are a nacho cheese lover, YOU have to try the original and most popular flavour! 

So tempting right ! Abit hard to eat outside so we tabao back to our hotel. 

Bought this india milk tea since it's just beside the wang zi store, kinda weird taste but the packaging is rather cute. As a tourist, we should all try different stuff! One time experience yah.

After satisfying our stomach, we were surfing the net to have a lookout for hotels as the second hotel we stayed only have slots for 2 days. We even went out to search a nearby hotel at ximending. Thank god, we came across our third hotel, kingshi hotel, where the manager gave us discount for a 2 person room hotel. The room is freaking big and cheap!

The staff in dreamhouse / holiday inn (same staff) were very friendly and concern about us too. Thanks!

Taiwant Trip (Taipei) Day 6

Typhoon day!

We stayed in the hotel whole day! Morning, we watched the news while having bread and green bean cookie (from li yi bing dian). Then, we fell asleep till noon, and had instant noodles for lunch. Next, we watched running man and movies till we fell asleep AGAIN. As for our tea break and dinner, we had lays seaweed and biscuit and ice-cream! LOL. (Practically I'm a pig for a day)

Matcha flavour is rather nice, compared to hello panda. 

Strawberry ice-cream which is nice! Around evening timing, we went out to stock up some food for next day and had ice-cream :)))). 

So..... after we came back to the hotel, we start to nuaaaaaaaa, watch clothes, rot in the bed and watch shows again. LOL.

Taiwan Trip (Taipe) Day 5

Our last day in Taiwan (according to our itinerary)... So we went to Taipei Main Station to buy those tai yang bing and feng li su from 李儀餅店! I love the milky tai yang bing! Recommend to get it, and get more too! Also, we went to the atas shopping mall to have our atas lunch. Food taste is quite nice too!

We went back to Ximending to do a last minute shopping! As typhoon is coming, the wind is really strong, my hair went all over the place! 

Went to have our dessert, shaved ice! 幸春三兄妹冰品店 It recommended in other blogs that is nice, to be honest, its so-so only, I would prefer the Mango Shaved Ice Dessert Store, which is few shops away! Well, the serving is bigger, top up few dollars more, but the taste and flavour is much nicerrrrr. 

Went to shop in Ximending for the "last round", and bought boxes and boxes of masks!! THE MASKS REALLY DAM CHEAP. ONE BOX THERE COST ABOUT SGD$4?!?!?!?!? Mass buy! :)))) After shopping, we walked back to our hotel to pack up our luggage and travel towards the airport! For the sake of saving money, we took metro to Taipei Main Station again, with our 17kg weight of luggage, carried there.... At first we wanted to take the public bus to airport, but we met the same merz uncle (from day 1), who offered us 450NTD instead of 900NTD (market price). However, halfway through the journey, sidi parents whatsapp her that our flight was FREAKING CANCELLED because of typhoon. & they have kind enough to help us to book the EARLIEST flight which is on the 12 Aug, (5 days later). Screw Scoot man!!!! BECAUSE THEY FREAKING SENT US AN EMAIL UNDER THE "PROMOTION" SECTION IN GMAIL - which OBVIOUSLY we won't look into it! :( So poor thing, we had to travel back to Ximending AGAIN.

I don't know is it good or bad, we didn't scream or whatsoever, just being calm, and go back to ximending. But the amount of money we have is just 2000NTD++ within the 3 of us. We went back to dreamhouse hotel but there were no vacancies left.. Fortunately, they had this -link- hotel, "holiday inn" hotel, few streets away... BUT the hotel there is rather worst! The toilet stink. Room slightly smaller since its for 2 persons. BUT AT LEAST WE ARE SAVED IN TAIWAN, SORT OF READY OF TYPHOON. LOL.

After settling down our baggages, we went to the convenient store to pack our food for the next few days. Instant noodles, biscuits, drinks, Tibits - our favourite Lays seaweed flavour.

Well, because we can't celebrate SG50. (Not like we did celebrate normal national day previously, but just, well, unlucky I guess. But, blessing in disguise, at least we are still okay! 

Being so crazy in hotel, we sang NDP songs! LOL. Wanted to upload the funny videos here, but I need to resize it first.......

WE ARE STILL SAFE AND HAVING FUN THERE!
