Second thing to do, is to grab some food!!!! Super hungry once we woke up! (xiao zhuzhu here)
We went to our downstairs nearby hotel, to have our breakfast. (But the soybean drink and bacon egg food not so nice compared to yong he). But overall still nice! AND CHEAP.
We then went to Taipei Main Station, the underground, to shop via metro~ There's quite a handful of exit/ junction to go to. We went to one junction only for this day!
There's one shop that is similar to the Singapore locker shop, that sell random stuff. Saw a lot of soft toys, especially this super huge chip! hahahha! & Sidi end up buying ALOT OF SOCKS (LIKE FREAKING A LOT, 14 OR 24 PAIRS OF SOCKS LOL - SHE SIAO ONE), while me, buying those sandy-woody seashells hehehehe.
Also, got few shops that sell the same shoes LOL, all on sale! Each got a pair of shoes, one pair only cost about $8?! (But the one I bought not very comfy when I wore it in Singapore).
The shops that sold clothes (not very updated fashion), so didn't get any. If you want to get some clothes, that would be wufenpu (scroll down for more).
After shopping, 3 hungry pigs is craving for food again! So we went to the Hello Kitty Cafe 台北市大安路1段90号 (which many tourists mention that its worth to go!). Directions: Zhong Xiao Fu Xing Station, Exit No. 3, walk 10 mins. Actually its quite near. Just that its covered by vehicles. (You can GPS it).
The interior is really nice!! Not a hello kitty fan, but its dam cute. Waiting time is about 5-10mins. The whole atmosphere is just hello kitty (Sweet and girly?). Even the toilet also very cute. LOL. Its a two storey shop, so we went to 2nd floor to have our lunch. Somehow, I just accidentally bang my head onto the stairs. :(
Took awhile to order the food. It comes with a set course, with drink, soup, bread, main course and dessert, total cost for each set course is about 300-500NTD (can't remember the exact price, but its about the same pricing as those cafe you visit in Singapore). Waiting time for the food to serve is about 10-15 mins.
Yay! Food is hereeeeeee! Even the bread/ burger has the face of the hello kitty. (Lmao). Hmm, to be honest, the appearance is good, but the taste overall is hai-hao only. One time is enough, not for the food, but for the atmosphere and photos thats all. :/
Dessert!! Was hoping that the dessert will taste good since the main course was so-so only. Haish. But quite disappointing, especially that tart (its horrible, please don't order it). The black forest cake was still okay, like those normal cake you get to eat outside. The cream cheesecake was quite cold and "ice-cream" feel, but its sweeeeeeet. Eat too much will be kinda sick. [Sorry being spoiler for those who haven't try it yet, maybe you can try other flavour LOL.]
Overall to summarize, "not-bad". :)
After that, we attempted to shop nearby but all the neighbouring shops at that area were simply too ATAS (expensive) for us. So end up we went to wufenpu straight for round 2 shopping!!!
3 of us were amazed by the diagonal crossing. LOL.
Finally reached wufenpu. Many shops, many streets, many mini junctions. Comparable to bugis street in Singapore, just that their clothes are packed in a plastic bag, placed on the floor. I still remembered there's one shop that don't place price tags and when we went in, the assistant lady was like looking us from top to toe (judging us), tsk tsk tsk, so we just left. To be honest, the clothes there was okayokay, some were cheap, some clothes were unique, but rest are norm. If you have the "same" fashion as the Taiwanese girls, then you are in luck. If not your wallet will be more than happy when you go there. Most of the shops sells dresses than top and bottom, casual wear. Of course there's korea, japan, style to choose from. It took us few hours to shop here!!!
*Remember to check your clothes after payment and before you leave the shop, because one of our dresses turned into a romper instead (wasted).
To be honest, we were more fascinated by their pet dogs than the dresses, shown from the photos taken. Look at how excited Sidi is. LOL. Big contrast uh. Their dog too white already or Sidi too dark already? HAHAHHAHA.
Enough of shopping for the whole day! Practically spent a lot just for shopping in day 2 LOL. Next, we went to the nearby Raohe Night Market for some dinner bites! Quite crowded but still able to walk our way through.
I realised the food in night market is rather nice and affordable, especially the squid, IT'S YUMMY!
Came across this cotton candy cartoon thingy in one of the shops. Hah. Quite cute!
Last stop, we went to this shop in the night market to grab WOMAN BAGS (can't remember what shop name is it). Each bag is about 300NTD (before discount), so its affordable and durable! Unique design, colour and texture too! If you get a lot, they will auto give you discount even if you are a tourist! :) Their service is nice too. Most importantly is, the bags will comes with a big pouch (like some make up bag) / crutch / laptop case alike). SO IT'S DAM WORTH IT.
Fruitful day. Shopping is always amazing for ladies like the three of us. :) Glad that all of us got what we want?
